Gimmick:Mason Alexander Vanderbuilt, is a life-long professional wrestling fan. While he did not get his start in the sport until much later, he has always admired and loved the sport. Initially serving in the United States Army, he would make his way up the ranks serving the country he loved dearly. Along the way, he would earn himself a valued social media following, earning himself the nickname “Mr. America” for the patriotic themes of his social media platforms. Along the way, he would become an acclaimed professional model, yet his dreams of professional wrestling never left. Now, M.A.V has followed his dreams, and is throwing his hat into the ring, literally. He believes that the current direction of professional wrestling is abhorrent. He believes that wrestling should return back to its roots. There should be no need for overexaggerated hardcore nonsense, and there should be no need for flippy-dippy bullshit. Major Alexander Vanderbuilt is a throwback to a simpler time when wrestlers were raw, and uncut, and respect was earned. That is why M.A.V has launched his campaign to become the President of Professional Wrestling, to show that wrestling can go back to a simpler time, a time without ultraviolence and debauchery, unless it involves women, he’s totally okay with debaucherous women.
RINGSIDE INFORMATION
Theme Music: “Man Of The Moment” - Goodbye June
Special Entrance [Optional]:The ring is shown house-lights dim, as silence befalls the arena. The camera transitions over to the stage where on the screen, images of traditional “Americana” can be seen. Beginning with shots of Times Square in New York City, the videos then transitions between skylines of some of America’s most notable locations. The skylines of Miami, Chicago, San Francisco, Detroit, Houston, and New York City are shown. After a moment, much of the United States natural landforms are shown in a drone-style fly-over style. The Rocky Mountains, Grand Canyon, and Niagara Falls are just a few of the images shown in quick succession. Suddenly, the video transitions to a majestic valley, where a large American flag stands erect, flowing through the wind at the top of a hill. Suddenly, the imagery overtakes the screen on the feed of those watching around the world. At this moment, the word “MAVERICK” flies across the screen. At that moment, the sounds of Goodbye June’s Man of the Moment fill the arena. With the camera transitioning back from the video feed to the live action in the arena, boos begin to fill the arena. Standing at the top of the ramp, wearing a suit stands a smiling Mason Alexander Vanderbilt.
As the booing of the live audience intensifies, the smile on the face of the self-proclaimed President of Professional Wrestling grows bigger. Throwing his arms into the air, the six foot five maverick begins to slowly move in a circle, allowing the crowd to rain down jeers at him. Finishing his rotation, he lets out a boisterously over-exaggerated laugh, before places his hands on the lapel of his suit jacket. Mason primps his lapels slightly, keeping his hands on them as he begins to walk towards the ring. Looking to his left, and then to his right. He can be seen mouthing words at the hostile audience. When he stands halfway down the entrance way, he removes his hands from his lapel, and heads towards the barricade on his right. Then, he extends his right hand out, and begins to shake hands with the fans. Though most are not receptive to this, he does manage to shake a few hands. Once he makes it to the ringside area, he turns his back to the ring. Letting his hands find their way towards his face, he kisses his index and middle fingers on both hands. Raising them up, he makes two peace signs as mouths the words “I love you all too” at the crowd who continue to rain down heavy jeers at the self-proclaimed “Mr. America”. Turning to face the ring, he once again adjusts the lapels on his suit before walking over to the ring-stairs to begin his ascension into the ring. After walking onto the ring apron, he walks across the entirety of the side, before slowly climbing onto the middle of the turnbuckle.
“From Manhattan, New York, weighing two-hundred and thirty-five pounds, he is the self-professed President of Professional Wrestling, The Maverick, Mason… Alexander… Vanderbilt!”
At the sound of his name, he rips open his suit, to reveal his chiseled physique. Beaming from ear-to-ear, he slowly removes the suit jacket, allowing the inside to be seen as it is adorned with an American flag. Bringing it forward, he holds the jacket underneath his neck to show the flag to the crowd. Throwing it down to the ringside attendant, he jumps down from the turnbuckle. Methodically, he then enters the ring. Walking straight to the center, he picks his head up to look towards the crowd. With the booing continuing to come from the fans, he places his hands onto his trousers. In one swift motion, he tears away at the trousers to reveal his ring attire. His trunks, in American regalia, have the word Maverick directly printed on the front. Throwing the trousers out of the ring, he walks over to the nearest turnbuckle, and climbs up to the middle once again. He then takes his index and middle finger, and once again kisses them. Making the two peace signs once again, the fans continue to boo the “Presumptive President of Professional Wrestling”. Throwing his arms into the air once again, Mason Alexander Vanderbilt poses arrogantly, letting the fans get their fill of his pompous attitude. He then jumps down from the turnbuckle, and walks back towards the center of the ring awaiting the start of the match.
