PostSubject: Chapter 21: Jacob Striker's Backfist to the Future   Chapter 21: Jacob Striker's Backfist to the Future Icon_minitimeFri Jul 28, 2023 8:31 am

{The sound of whistling wind and the familiar guitar lick of Golden Earring's "Twilight Zone" accompany the scene of a pair of gloved hands in front of a black background loading a round into a rifle, then snapping the chamber shut. The gun turns towards the screen, and almost at the same time the camera view turns with it, to end up behind the sight.}

[Music]
It's 2am (it's 2 am)/Fear is gone (fear is gone)
I'm somewhere where/The Gun's still warm
Thinking my connection/Is tired of taking chances

{The black background is interrupted by a roaming "gunsight" view,
within which PWN action can be seen; the sight moves across the
screen, every so often cutting to change directions (and video
footage).}

[Music]: Now I'm steppin' into the Twilight Zone ...

{Sight moves from left to right; Alex Slayer cinches the Slayer Clutch on Remy Orbax.}

[Music]: This is a madhouse/Feels like being home ...

{Sight moves from bottom upwards; Lash Donohue mugs on the mic with Jacob Striker close in tow.}

[Music]: My feet they can't move/Under moon and star ...

{Sight moves from lower left to center and back to upper left (in a
">" pattern); Wil Pierce hoists Graham Baker into a
Mephisto Waltz through a table.}

[Music]: Where am I to go Now that I've gone too far ...

{Sight moves from lower right to upper left in broad arc; Miho Li
subjects Megane Diavola to the Mi Kicks.}

[Music]: You will come to know/when the bullet hits the bone.

{Sight moves from left to right, jagging up and down erratically; Ian Dickenson throws Jacob Knight into the Hellion.}

[Music]: You will come to know ...
when the bullet hits the bone ...

{Cut to a scene of four simultaneous "gunsights" (without the internal
video), converging on slightly wobbly paths towards the lower left
corner. As the four intersect, a loud drumbeat corresponds with the crack of a gunshot; the screen flashes bright white, then fades into the logo for Pro Wrestling Nova’s Defiant brand as the camera shows to the commentary desk where Benjamin, Justin, and Chad are sitting}

BG: Hello everyone and we are live right here from the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena from lovely Los Angeles California!!

CS: Bit of a stretch calling Los Angeles "lovely" there, Benny boy.

BG: Okay...but seriously we have a very epic night for you all here tonight as Jacob Striker and Christopher Sabertooth go to an all out war to see who will become the next Strong Style Wrestling Intercontinental champion in our semi main event!

CS: Dude, you wanna talk about SSW and wars?! What about freaking the Rogue Horsemen duo of Kain Reyes and Ryo Sakazaki facing off against the thrown together team of Hans Olsen and that gimmick stealer in El Landerson against *THE* most dominate tag team in the entirity of World Wrestling Headquarters in "Mister Mayhem" David Gibson and Thomas Bane, the Shinigami Foundation as they fight over who is going to be the new SSW Puroroeus Tag Team champions??

BG: Both very valid points, but then again we have our main event which puts Miho Li against both Sweet Roxy *AND* the "Blackheart" Wil Pierce to see who will be the third person in the upcoming Stephanie Matsuda, Ian Dickenson match for the Unified World's Heavyweight championship!!

CS: Yeah, this is really going to be freaking crazy night!

JE: That maybe, but let’s get on with our first match of the night, shall we?
===================================================

Match 1:
Madison Wright entered into this match thinking that she might have a chance against Celes Dumont who was returning from nearly two years away from the sport, but those thoughts were quickly dashed when the newly dubbed "Mockingjay" made her way down to the ring, looking slimmer and more determined than she did in the past.

There was a few moments during the match when Celes overstretched herself and allowed Madison a chance to get the leg up on the more experienced female wrestler, but in the end Madison went to troll the fans one too many times which ended with her getting a faceful of Celes' right knee as the former tag team champion gave her a brutal "smile" and the three count to end the match.

The winner of your match: Celes Dumont via the "Glasgow Smile" at 5:30.
=================================================

Match 2: Logan Burgess vs. Hellfighter

In the second match of the night, these two men went at it full tilt but in the end, Logan wasn’t able to hold his own against the former EWI champion after a short, but physically brutal match.

Winner of the Match: Hellfighter at 6:50 via the “T-Bar Drop”.
=================================================

Match 3: Bianca Davis vs. Megane Diavola

Our third match put the International Junior Heavyweight champion, Bianca Davis, against the number one contender to Miho Li’s Joshi championship in Megane Diavola in a very physical match up which saw the supposed “Queen” showcase why she’s at the top of her division in Pro Wrestling Nova but instead she was met at every twist and turn by the “Lustful Judas”.

However, at one point of the match Megane goes for a running high knee with Bianca in the corner only for the “Queen” to pull the ref right into the way as Megane’s knee takes out the ref, she in turn is quickly taken out by the “Beautiful Boot” by Bianca who then takes a moment to gloat over her two victims but doesn’t see a woman emerge from the crowd, slid under the bottom rope into one of the corners, licking her lips in anticipation before Bianca then turns around only to be taken out by a very stiff and brutally fast Superman Punch from the unknown woman who then quickly moves over to Megane and wakes her up before ducking out of the ring as the ref also comes to.

Megane just as quickly takes stock of the entire situation and hauls Bianca up to her feet before dropping her with the “Satin’s Sacrifice” for the pinfall.

Winner of the Match: Megane Diavola at 9:56 via the “Satin’s Sacrifice”.
==========================================

After the match, Bianca rolled to her side in the ring while clutching at her jaw in pain as the fury radiated from her eyes as she caught sight of her attacker who sketches out a mocking bow to the self-proclaimed “Queen” while smiling at her.

Mystery Woman w/o mic: Be seeing you soon, bitch.
===========================================

Match 4: The Rogue Horsemen (Ryo Sakazaki & Kain Reyes) vs. Hans Olsen & El Landerson vs. The Shinigami Foundation (David Gibson & Thomas Bane) for the Strong Style Wrestling Puroresu Tag Team Championships!

In a match sanctioned by the current Director of Operations, Eiji Nakamura, and his chosen coordinator of Strong Style Wrestling’s Operations in Japan, this match put two of members of South West Wrestling Syndicate’s “Rogue Horsemen” stable in the form of “Hot Stuff” Kain Reyes and the current SSW United States Heavyweight champion Ryo Sakazaki against the ad-hoc team of the Mechanical Animals’ “Chief of Security” in Hans Olsen and El Landerson and against the top tag team in World Wrestling Headquarters in the form of “Mr. Mayhem” David Gibson and Thomas Bane, the Shinigami Foundation for the vacated SSW Puroresu Tag Team championships.

During the entrances, the cameras cut to the backstage area to show us the current reigning and defending PWN World Tag Team champions in the Dollhouse dismissing the three teams while another camera showed us Ian and Ebony Dickenson as Onslaught looked on with attention to the teams making their entrances to the Guerilla House Party even making a rare appearance as well as some of the talent from the Slayton Wrestling Academy as well as we are shown a mystery man sitting in a skybox somewhere in the arena with the woman who attacked Bianca Davis earlier in the show.

The LA crowds were exploding with massive pops as all three teams put on an epic contest of tag team fury as the three teams were bound and determined to win the vacate tag team titles with all of the wrestlers in the ring working at an impressive workrate with bodies flying all over the ring, but the hardest hit team was the duo of Olsen and Landerson who were thrown together for this very match but in the end they were the first team eliminated as Landerson tried to hit a top rope rana into a pin on Ryo Sakazaki only to be caught by Thomas Bane in a powerbomb position before being dropped into a wicked looking powerbomb backbreaker before he was lifted and then dropped into a very brutal “Chasing the Demon” by the Foundation which lead to a three count on that team.

The match then went to a normal tag team match with the Rogues holding up quite well against the Foundation but that was not to last as the Foundation was finally able to isolate Kain Reyes for several long minutes before finally hitting the “Doomstar Requiem” on the War Room graduate for the three count victory!

Winners of the Match AND *NEW* SSW Puroresu Tag Team Champions: The Shinigami Foundation at 20:25 via the “Doomstar Requiem” on Kain Reyes of the Rogue Horsemen.
============================================

Match 5: Raijin Hunter vs. Stark

With his match for the One Wrestle Movement World’s Heavyweight title just over a week away, Raijin Hunter went up against Stark himself with his fellow Mechanical Animals member and Stark’s right hand man in Wil Pierce watching on from ringside.

This was a very physical match as Stark showcased his status as a wiley veteran while Raijin simply showed why he wasn’t a man to be ignored by the industry with both men trading blows like there was no tomorrow until finally Stark went for his “Starknado” only for Raijin to duck the move and catch the “Psychedelic Samurai” with Raijin’s “Side Effect” knee strike instead, at which point both men went over the top rope and started to brawl on the outside before the ref finally counted to ten and counted out both wrestlers!

Winner of the Match: None/Double count out at 9:55
=================================

Match 6: Jacob Striker vs. Christopher Sabertooth for the SSW Intercontinental championship

In a match between two of the most talented strikers in the entire promotion as Jacob Striker and Christopher Sabertooth entered into a very physically demanding match as both men pushed each other to their limits with a very impressive moment happening on very early in the match when during a massive strike flurry shortly after the start of the match, Chris caught Jacob with a punch to his face that splits his right eyebrow, causing him to start bleeding almost instantly and only served to amp up the violence to come.

The critical part of the match came when Chris had just hit an explosive “Zero Eclipse” onto his opponent, sending Jake hard into the ref and knocking the both of them down to the outside of the ring when suddenly the crowds exploded with a hail of jeers as none other than Wil Pierce hit the ringside area and quickly slid into the ring behind Chris, catching him full force with the “Demon Soul Lariat” which turned the former “Havoc” inside out before Pierce started to lay into the former world champion with a brutal barrage of elbow strikes before he hauled Chris up and shot him into the far ropes before blasting him with a “Rasengan” of his own before Pierce got out of the ring and hid as both Striker and the ref slowly returned to the ring, just as Chris was slowly getting to his feet as well only to be caught flat footed as Striker landed the “Age of the Fall” followed up by a pinfall victory!

Winner of the Match AND *NEW* SSW Intercontinental Champion: Jacob Striker at 25:10 with the “Age of the Fall”.
==========================================

After the match, the Shinigami Foundation hit the ring and just as Jake went to celebrate, Gibson quickly lowered Jake’s hand holding the title and whispered something in his ear before Jake looked at his fellow Foundation member before walking over to Chris and kneeling down on one knee next to him and the two had a brief exchange of words as we cut to a shot of Wil Pierce looking on disgustedly at his fellow MA member as the screen goes to commercial
=========================================

{Suddenly the sound of bells toiling throughout the arena can be heard followed by the opening guitar licks of AC/DC’s “Hell’s Bells” begins to echo throughout the arena as the crowds come to their feet}

BG: From the sounds of that music, I do believe that we’re about to be visited by our esteemed president himself, Mister Chris Slayton.

JE: I would most certainly agree with you on that one.

CS: I wonder if he’s coming out to discuss what happened in that last match because that bullshit towards the end really ruined what could’ve been a truly epic finish to our semi main event!

{Chris Slayton comes walking out onto the entrance way and motions for his music to be cut}

CS: Ladies and Gentlemen, before we get started with our main event for the evening I felt the need to come out here and make a couple of slight changes to the match in question. First off, I’m banning any and all wrestlers allied to each of the wrestlers involved in the main event from being at ringside.

That means no members of Dollhouse for our lovely Miss Vendetta, no Coach Hellfighter for Miho Li, and most certainly no bloody run in by any member of either the Mechanical Animals or Shinigami Foundation or even Stark himself for Mister Pierce, even AFTER what he did in the previous match!

Secondly, if anyone connected to the above decides to show their ass and try me on this matter then I hope that you are willing to pay the price for your actions to the painful tune of five hundred thousand dollars *EACH*!!

Now having said that, let’s begin the chaos!!!

{“Hell’s Bells” begins again as President Slayton leaves the stage}
============================================

Main Event: Roxanne Vendetta vs. Miho Li vs. Wil Pierce
Triple Threat match for the "Wild Card" spot in the forthcoming Stephanie Matsuda/Ian Dickson/??? Unified World's Heavyweight title match.

In what was perhaps the most physically demanding and explosive match of the entire chapter, these three wrestlers went all out in an attempt to win the coveted third spot in the forthcoming world title triple threat match with the former “Sweet Roxy” pulling out all of the stops as the tag team champion was salvanting at the chance to finally step out of her mother’s shadow by becoming a world’s champion-but first she had to go through the “Number One Joshi” and the “Albert Wesker of Luchadores” to get the job done.

What happened next was nearly thirty five minutes of some of the most physically demanding action in the history of the promotion as all three wrestlers went through their entire arsenals to try and come out on top, running through entire gauntlets of moves and holds with several highlights being deadly little Miho hitting over twenty “Mi Kicks” on both Vendetta and Pierce as she had the both of them kneeling before her as she exploded on them with kicks, to Roxy hitting the “Razzle Dazzle” on Miho only for Roxy to be literally *PUNCHED* out of the air by a “Rasengan” by Pierce to a massive trading of near finishes between Roxy and Wil with Roxy eventually hitting the “Bitch Lasagna” on him for a near fall that was canceled by a “Riverside Splash” by Miho at the very last moment!!

However the end of the match came when as the two women where trading blows in the ring, Wil ducked to the outside for a quick breather and to try and wait out the slugfest between the two second generation wrestlers when suddenly he saw a fan at ringside with a box on his head and he went over to confront the box wearer with Benjamin Gates even saying that the fan was wearing the same kind of box as David Striker but when Wil yanked the box from the man’s head-it wasn’t David Striker’s face that he saw, but someone else’s that made Wil stagger backwards in shock as the fan stood up and moved to step over the barricade as Wil quickly re-entered the ring only to turn around and get a pair of superkicks from both of the women that sent him back to the outside of the ring but before Miho could turn around and confront Roxy, the older woman was quickly hitting the “Felina” curb stomp on Miho, narrowly missing it’s mark!!

It was at that moment that the end of the match was in sight as Miho then exploded in a massive onslaught of kicks and forearm strikes on Roxy who quickly hit the “Tramp Stamp” superkick on Miho that drove the younger woman back, splitting her lip in the process…but instead of going down, Miho simply staggered back a couple of steps and then let out a roar of fury before Roxy followed it up with another “Tramp Stamp” before trying for the “Felina” again only for Miho to once again just barely get out of range but Roxy quickly turned around, grabbed Miho by the hair and then went for 'The Carousel', only for her opponent to fight back on the pain and jerking backwards, forcing Roxy into her arms as the younger woman then lifted Roxy up and with a bloody grin of sheer determination, hit the “Verdict” of all moves on Sweet Roxy before rolling her up into a dragon sleeper right in the middle of the ring, nearly bending Roxy in half with the move before she finally tapped out!!

Winner of the Match: Miho Li via submission with the Dragon Sleeper at 35:06
========================================

After the match Wil rolled back into the ring as Miho started to celebrate her victory and went to attack her when suddenly the “fan” from earlier quickly hit the ring and blasting the taller wrestler with very wicked looking spear that launched the older man out of the ring as the mystery man stands next to Miho,ready for a fight as Wil quickly retreats through the crowds as Miho’s theme begins to play once again as the mystery man helps Miho out of the ring and into the back
==========================================

{Miho’s theme is still playing through the arena before it quickly fades into “Hell’s Bells” once more as Chris Slayton steps out onto the entrance way with a troubled look on his face for a moment before he brings up his mic to speak as his theme fades out}

CS: Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m sorry for the odd night here tonight but I would like to thank you for participating in Jake’s attempt to escape from your lovely city with his own sanity in check…but yeah, that just wasn’t happening now was it?

So having said that, I have made a decision that since the end of summer is right around the corner that we here in Pro Wrestling Nova should end the summer with a special one night event…and for that kind of event, I thought that I would hand over the reigns for just one night to an extra special host with the most!

BG: Oh my god…you don’t think…

CS: I’m really fucking hoping that he didn’t…

{Suddenly the White Zombie classic, “More Human than Human”, begins to play throughout the arena as the crowds come to their feet as none other than Vergil Urahara himself comes strutting out onto the stage with a huge grin on his face along with his long suffering best friend/Guy Friday/Business & Tag Team partner Jason Wraith in his wake}

CS: Hey, have you ever noticed that Jason Wraith looks like a not constantly pissed off Christopher Sabertooth?!

{The screen cuts to the commentary table where all three men look at each other with a complete look of disbelief before the camera cuts to a shot of Wraith shaking his head as Urahara struts across the entrance way then back to the commentary table}

All three commentators: NNNAAHHH!!!

{The shot then returns to the entrance way as Wraith motions for the music to be cut as Urahara pulls a mic out of his jacket pocket}

VU: HELLO MY CITY OF LOST ANGLES!!! It’s so good to be out here and seeing the lot of you here tonight with this special announcement that for Pro Wrestling Nova’s twenty second chapter we are going to shake things up a little bit with Vergil Urahara presents…BEACH BLAST!!!

Now while we are still in the midst of talks involving a match that I am hoping will be a most excellent main event for Beach Blast, tonight's little recent hijinx has got me thinking and with both Chairman Nakamura and his two coordinators being backstage…well, we just got done having a quick talk backstage before I came out here and let me put it to you this way…and mister cameraman, pull in good and close on this sexy face to show everyone how serious I am!

{The camera then pulls in good and tight on Vergil’s face as he fixes the camera with a serious look}

VU: Oi, Christopher Sabertooth and Wil Pierce…if you two can hear me backstage?!? Mister Pierce, far be it for me to deny anyone a fair shake at anything and you know that considering our mutual history in this sport, but since you are so…I wanna say cavalier with deciding who gets what in this company, I have decided that maybe…just maybe your run as a champion is also good and done?

So, right here and now as a way to show how much I respect Christopher Sabertooth and his contributions to this sport, I am going to give him a choice. He can either *ONE*...choose to challenge Jacob Striker for the SSW Intercontinental title, to which Jacob Striker has already said that he was fine with due to what his partners in the Foundation have told him about what happened here tonight.

Or *TWO*...it will be Christopher Sabertooth versus Wil Pierce for the SSW Grand Japan championship in a match of his *CHOOSING* at Beach Blast!!

Either way, we will have one in a series of epic wars at Beach Blast, with a great many more to be announced as we go forth!!!

But now I have to be somewhat actually more serious than normal as I want to discuss the match that will be the centerpiece of my summer buffet par excellence!

As you all may or may not know, a dear and close friend to Pro Wrestling Nova recently passed away in the form of Lash Donohue and he was one half of the very first world tag team champions here in this company. So with Chris’ permission, I have reached out to a couple of people, made a few arrangements, and right now I am hoping to announce soon the main event of my Beach Blast event with the current reigning and defending Pro Wrestling Nova World Tag Team champions…Roxanne Vendetta and Jonetta Stone, the Dollhouse…to defend their titles against two young women who are very well known here in this company as Arley Kirk and Super Tiger, the freaking KAWAII TRASH PANDAS!!!

Now hit my fucking music and let’s enjoy the night!!!

{“More Human than Human” starts up once more as the crowds explode with delight at the announcement as the show goes off of the air}
