Subject: Chapter 18: The New Face of War Mon May 09, 2022 9:34 am
{"No Save Point" by Run the Jewels begins to play as a video package starts up that shows the series of events that happened at the "Day of Reckoning" pay per view from the massive title changes to the sole surprise title defenses and everything in between and it ends on the extremely bloody war that ended with Stephanie Matsuda's loss of the Unifed championship to the ever hated Graham Baker to a quick shot of Nobi appearing and making it known that he wanted his shot before the Mechanical Animals appeared and let their own "opinion" be known before the screen cuts to black as the music abruptly cuts as well as we are shown an outside view of the beautiful Alexandra Palace as a Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII along with several other dark colored cars pull up to the venue and the chauffeur then gets out and opens the rear passenger door to the car, the "Natural" Jacob Striker steps out of the backseat before pulling out his twin titles in the form of the WrestleWorld Territoral Openweight and the One Wrestle Movement World's Heavyweight and bows his head respectfully to the chauffeur before moving to stand with the rest of the MA who have gathered around the area}
Jacob: You all know what we need to do?
Wil: Yeah, we got this.
Jacob: Very well then, let's get to it then shall we?
{The sound of whistling wind and the familiar guitar lick of Golden Earring's "Twilight Zone" accompany the scene of a pair of gloved hands in front of a black background loading a round into a rifle, then snapping the chamber shut. The gun turns towards the screen, and almost at the same time the camera view turns with it, to end up behind the sight.}
[Music] It's 2am (it's 2 am)/Fear is gone (fear is gone) I'm somewhere where/The Gun's still warm Thinking my connection/Is tired of taking chances
{The black background is interrupted by a roaming "gunsight" view, within which PWN action can be seen; the sight moves across the screen, every so often cutting to change directions (and video footage).}
[Music]: Now I'm steppin' into the Twilight Zone ...
{Sight moves from left to right; Alex Slayer cinches the Slayer Clutch on Remy Orbax.}
[Music]: This is a madhouse/Feels like being home ...
{Sight moves from bottom upwards; Lash Donohue mugs on the mic with Jacob Striker close in tow.}
[Music]: My feet they can't move/Under moon and star ...
{Sight moves from lower left to center and back to upper left (in a ">" pattern); Wil Pierce hoists Graham Baker into a Mephisto Waltz onto a table.}
[Music]: Where am I to go Now that I've gone too far ...
{Sight moves from lower right to upper left in broad arc; Miho Li subjects Megane Diavola to the Mi Kicks.}
[Music]: You will come to know/when the bullet hits the bone.
{Sight moves from left to right, jagging up and down erratically; Ian Dickenson throws Jacob Knight into the Hellion.}
[Music]: You will come to know ... when the bullet hits the bone ...
{Cut to a scene of four simultaneous "gunsights" (without the internal video), converging on slightly wobbly paths towards the lower left corner. As the four intersect, a loud drumbeat corresponds with the crack of a gunshot; the screen flashes bright white, then fades into the logo for Pro Wrestling Nova’s Defiant brand as the camera shows us the inside of the Alexandra Palace, London, England where we find the press desk with our three Hosts sitting behind it}
BG: Hello everyone and welcome to this post Day of Reckoning edition of Defiant!! It's great to be here in the Alexandra Palace once again, huh guys??
JE: I would say so, especially with everything that has gone down in between the pay per view and this show, Benjamin!!
CS: That's right, our very own President Chris Slayton lead his own version of the legendary ROGUE *FUCKING* HORSEMEN to not only lay claim to the South Western Wrestling Syndicates T3 Tournament Trophy, but also the SWWS World Tag Team championships as well as the duo of the "Weapon of Sass Destruction" Kevin Renzor and the "Black Leg" Zach Rhodes came out the new champs!!
JE: Very true and very cool, but what about the great big surprising moment of the entire night when Myojin had their back against the wall when the last person that they ever expected to come and help them did and that was none other than Jacob freaking Striker!!
BG: I wonder how Myojin feels about that, but then again Jacob Striker has been acting a bit off as of late hasn't he?
CS: I won't disagree with you there, Benji. But let's not dwell on that and move onto our first match of the night as Mason Alexander Vanderbilt goes up against none other than our very own Hans Olsen. =============================================================
Hans Olsen vs. Mason A. Vanderbilt
This was an incredibly short match as Hans had it under total control from the moment the bell rung to start the match and despite a slight flurry offense by Mason, Hans won the match after only six minutes.
Winner of the Match: Hans Olsen via the "American Roulette" (Vertical Suplex Powerbomb) at 6:00 <even> --------------------------------------------------------------
After the match however, as Ape Fight's "Big Jerk" was playing with Hans celebrating in the ring, suddenly the them switched over to "Tidal Wave" by Slowburn as Wil Pierce lead David Belmont, Thomas Bane, Dominic Nightshade, Raijin Hunter, and Piero to the ring at which point they surround it with Hans looking more than ready for a fight, but only Wil and Bane get into the ring at which point they present Hans with a black tactical vest draped in a Mechanical Animals shirt and respectfully offer both to the former Olympian which he then accepts with a questioning look to which Pierce only says one thing that is caught without a mic;
"You don't have to ride alone anymore."
At which point Hans gives Pierce a nod and a smile at which point Wil goes over and shakes Hans' hand as he welcomes him into the Mechanical Animals as the camera cuts to commercial. ===================================================
Ian Dickenson vs. Logan Burgess International Heavyweight title match
In his first defense of his newly won championship, The "Hawthorne Horror" went full tilt against the self-proclaimed "Public Enemy Number 1", who himself was still reeling from the brutal "Carnival Carnage" match at WrestleWorld's "Death Sentence" pay per view the week before, and even though he had the champion locked into Guillotine Choke and then later managed to score the "Deadly Stroke" knee strike to Ian, the champion was still able to turn Logan's attempt at hitting the "Flying Cupid" by catching him before hitting a hard throwing powerbomb for the win and retention!!
Winner of the Match and Still PWN International Champion: Ian Dickenson with the "Hellion" (Throwing Crucifix Powerbomb) at 12:35 =====================================================
Sweet Roxy vs. Ebony Arceri-Dickenson Junior Heavyweight #1 Contendership match
Despite all appearances, this was a very brutal match with both women-equally skilled in their own ways-attempting to outdo the other with the Dollhouse attempting to get involved quite a few times only to be met by the sudden arrival of former International Championship Wrestling Alliance stalwart in the form of the "Enforcer" Jeremy Grant who managed to hold the ground against the equally imposing Jonetta Stone while the match was going on inside of the ring!!
The match went back and forth with several very stiff and brutal moments until finally Ebony was able to turn Roxy's third attempt at a "Bitch Lasagna" into a "Tragedy Ever After" for the win just as time on the match ran out!
Winner of the Match and Number One Contender to the Junior Heavyweight championship: Ebony Arceri-Dickenson with the "Tragedy Ever After" (Inverted Double Underhook Facebuster) for the win at 30 minutes. ----------------------------------------------
After the match, the Dollhouse gloated that they were still the Pro Wrestling Nova World Tag Team champions to both Ebony and Jeremy at which point Jeremy simply mouthed "Not for much longer" before slowly dragging his thumb across his throat while looking dead into the eyes of the champions as Ebony celebrated in the ring as the screen cut to another commercial. ----------------------------------------------
Main Event: Miss Julia vs. Raijin Hunter vs. Bianca Davis Triple Threat for the International Junior Heavyweight championship/If Miss Julia cannot win by anything but a *PINFALL* then she is fired!
This match showcased the high flying abilities of all three people involved...or it would've if Julia had done anything remotely like that as she attempted to sneak her way into pinfalls rather than actually wrestle...even though Bianca was doing everything in her power to practically destroy the young trainee who had been attacking her for *MONTHS*!!!
One particularly brutal moment came after Rai hit the first half of his "Tornado Spike" on Julia and was going for the Penalty Kick portion when Bianca was able to score the "Beautiful Boot" right into his face only for Julia to attempt a school girl rollup that Bianca then was able to practically *flop* around into a pin attempt to almost win the match!
However during a particularly brutal slugfest in the middle of the ring, Julia quickly undid one of the turnbuckle pads while the ref was distracted and after Rai was thrown to the outside, Julia quickly grabbed Bianca and then tossed her face first into the exposed turnbuckle before coming up and grabbing her from behind to roll her up into a pin!!
However the ref saw the exposed turnbuckle and then quickly called for the bell, instantly calling for the DQ while going to check on Bianca who was holding her face while she rolled around in the ring with Julia heading to the outside of the ring and snatching up the International Junior Heavyweight championship, thinking that she had won!!
However, Revolution roster member Raven Bradford suddenly exploded into view with a brutal push kick just as Julia turned around to start gloating into a camera at which point she mounted the other woman and started to lay heavy punches hard into her face as the ref tells Dekker something and the official result is made:
Bianca Retains due to DQ!
Winner of the Match and Still PWN International Junior Heavyweight champion: Bianca Davis due to DQ at 24:03 ----------------------------------------------
After the match, President Chris Slayton strolls out onto the entrance way as PWN's chief of security and his team separate Raven from Julia before hauling Julia up the entrance ramp and before President Slayton who *FIRES* her on international television before ordering her to be thrown out of Aly Paly and into the nearest gutter which security does, with Julia screaming all the way as "Bad Bitch" plays throughout the arena as the show goes off of the air.
