Chapter 19: The Great American Smash

{The screen fades in and we see the large glowing expanse that is the Kentucky Kingdom as we come live from Louisville Kentucky as the cameras pan over the former Six Flags theme park, at the hundreds of people milling about and enjoying the parks various activities until finally we come across the large set up that is outside venue event for Pro Wrestling Nova as the camera then fades to another area. There we find a long black limo pulling up to backstage area and a moment after it stops, the back passenger door opens as Kevin Renzor gets out of the car and stretches for a moment before he is handed his half of the South West Wrestling Syndicate’s World Tag Team titles before he steps away from the car as President Slayton steps out next followed by the rest of the Rogue Horsemen as they head towards an entrance when they suddenly pull up as a stagehand approaches the group}

Stagehand: Mister Slayton?

Chris: Yes?

Stagehand: Um…there are some rather official looking Japanese men waiting for you in your temporary office, sir.

{Chris raises an eyebrow before he looks at his Rogues for a moment before they return shrugs at him before he turns back to face the stagehand}

Chris: Any idea what they want?

Stagehand: No sir, the only thing that they said to me was to tell them where your office was for the night, get them some water, and then find you because they needed to talk about the problem?

{Chris raises an eyebrow for a moment before finally shrugging}

Chris: Alright then, lead on. The rest of you, get ready for tonight.

{The assembled group nods before the screen cuts to the shows opening}




{The sound of whistling wind and the familiar guitar lick of Golden
Earring's "Twilight Zone" accompany the scene of a pair of gloved
hands in front of a black background loading a round into a rifle,
then snapping the chamber shut. The gun turns towards the screen,
and almost at the same time the camera view turns with it, to end up
behind the sight.}

[Music]
It's 2am (it's 2 am)/Fear is gone (fear is gone)
I'm somewhere where/The Gun's still warm

{The black background is interrupted by a roaming "gunsight" view,
within which PWN action can be seen; the sight moves across the
screen, every so often cutting to change directions (and video
footage).}

{Sight moves from left to right; Alex Slayer cinches the Slayer Clutch on Remy Orbax.}

{Sight moves from bottom upwards; Lash Donohue mugs on the mic with Jacob Striker close in tow.}

{Sight moves from lower left to center and back to upper left (in a
">" pattern); Wil Pierce hoists Graham Baker into a
Mephisto Waltz onto a table.}

subjects Megane Diavola to the Mi Kicks.}

{Cut to a scene of four simultaneous "gunsights" (without the internal
video), converging on slightly wobbly paths towards the lower left
corner. As the four intersect, a loud drumbeat corresponds with the
crack of a gunshot; the screen flashes bright white, then fades into
the logo for Pro Wrestling Nova’s Defiant brand as the camera shows to the
commentary desk where Benjamin, Justin, and Chad are sitting}

BG: Hello everyone and welcome from Kentucky Kingdom here in lovely Louisville!!

CS: Dude…did you just call this place “Lovely”?

BG: Indeed I did.

CS: Dude, you’ve got one really fucked up idea of beauty then.

BG: It’s all in the Beholder’s eye, Chad. Right there in its very large eye….

CS:...dude, did you just make a Dungeons and Dragons ref?

{Benjamin simply ignores the question and before Chad can move on it, Justin gets a very obvious smirk on his face}

JE: And you caught that how, exactly?

CS:....

JE: Thought so. So tonight my friends we’ve got a really stacked card from top to bottom and plus with the South Western Wrestling Syndicate’s big show live from Madison Square Garden, the entirety of the Rogue Horsemen, the currently undefeated SWWS World Tag Team champions, are here in the house!

CS: That’s right, my boys are gonna hit MSG and take it the fuck over!!

BG: That maybe, but let’s get on with our first match of the night, shall we?

Madison Wright vs. Jessica Knight

In our opening match for the evening put Pro Wrestling Nova newcomer in Madison Wright against fellow debuting Joshi in Jessica Knight in a slightly impressive match as Wright attempted to use her experience over the rookie Knight, but what Knight made up for a lack of experience with sheer determination and that was made very evident throughout the entire match.

However the match ended much quicker than Madison had possibly planned as she tried to end the match quickly on her terms by trying to hobble and mock the other woman but when Madison went for her signature "MEMED" Handspring Back Elbow, Jessica quickly caught her and slammed her to the mat with an Olympic Slam before she exploded into the "Beat Rush" before finally putting her away with the "Moth to a Flame" for the three count victory.

Winner of the Match: Jessica Knight at 6:35 with the "Moth to a Flame" (Gory Special Reverse STO)

The Guerilla House Party vs. The Wild Cards

In perhaps in one of the toughest tag team matches in a long time, fan favorites in Dion "The Fool" Arcana and Devin "Alpha" Bravo fought a very serious match against Matt Graves and Kenta Stryfe of the Wild Cards with both teams trading near finishes back and forth over the course of the entire match.

These two teams almost fought to a time limit draw until finally they were able to hit the "Throat Cutter" on Bravo to win the match with only a minute left in the match!!

Winners of the Match: The Wild Cards (Matt Graves/Kenta Stryfe) via the "Throat Cutter" (Lariat/German Suplex combination) at 19:59.

After the match, the GHP offered their hands in a sign of respect to the winners of the match when suddenly the lights went out and when they came back on and the Saint Louis Wrecking Crew composed of Aaron Griffin and David Banner where in the ring and stomping away madly at Kenta Stryfe and the GHP for some reason as Matt Graves had already bailed to the outside in confusion.

{The camera’s cut to the backstage area where Natasha Booth is standing with a concerned look on her face next to a door marked “conference room” when suddenly it opens up and Chris Slayton comes walking out, bowing and speaking in Japanese as he does so, quickly closing the door behind him before the camera man can look inside}

CS: Good fucking grief!

NB: What’s up, Chris? Who are those guys?

CS: Those “guys” as you call them, Tasha, are the heads of legal for the Shiba Zaibatsu. With the lead guy being none other than Funekei Yoshida.

{Tasha's eyes widened at the mention of that name}

NB: Wait, the "Heihachi Mishima of Lawyers" is in there?! What the hell did you *DO* Chris?!

CS: *I* didn’t do anything, however they wanted to make it perfectly clear that no one on the Pro Wrestling Nova payroll can do anything with One Wrestle Movement until a legal matter can be dealt with and I think that you know which one.

NB: Jacob Striker’s loss to Erick Saint John?

{Chris shakes his head no as he motions for Tasha to walk with him}

CS: No, I thought the same thing but apparently when Saint John did his little “victory speech” on Legendary a couple of weeks back combined with what he said on Twitter, Yoshida-san felt that action was needed.

NB: But Saint John’s comment was aimed at Pro Wrestling Nova, wasn’t?

CS: Upon reviewing his little victory speech again with Yoshida-san and company, it turns out that without realizing how stupid he was, Saint John actually targeted the wrong people when he commented about how Cedric bowed to “outside elements” or some shit like that.

{Tasha looks even more confused at this point}

NB: But all Jake did was seek legal advice for the situation after what Saint John did at Massive and the….

CS: Yeah, Yoshida-san was involved in those talks as well which got Jake his title back and yet Erick Saint John, in all of his pig-headedness, neglected to get any of the actual information before opening his piehole and now something even bigger is going to happen.

ogan Burgess vs. Trafalgar Law

This match was cancelled following the news that Trafalgar Law was not cleared to wrestle after his match in the Parade of a Thousand Demons to crown a new XHF Hardcore champion and thus Logan was left without an opponent and was almost awarded the victory when General Manager Natasha Booth made the announcement that she had found a replacement for Law.



To the surprise of not only the crowds at ringside but also the commentary team itself, David Gibson *HIMSELF* was revealed to be Logan's mystery opponent and as the big Hawaiian native stormed to the ring, ready for a fight-the bell was rung.

Logan Burgess vs. David Gibson:

This was a fast and heavy match putting two real hosses against each other but as Logan quickly found out that there was more to the newly minted "Mister Mayhem" as David Gibson quickly turned the match into a clinic with both men hitting several of their own unique signature spots throughout the match.

However the match came when Logan went for the "Sad Ending" only for David at the last minute to quickly catch Logan in mid-move with the "Crazy Buffalo" that he then transitioned into the "Chain of Sorrow" submission for the victory!

Winner of the Match: David Gibson via the "Chain of Sorrow" submission at 17:59.

After the match, David respectfully shook the hand of Logan and told him that when he wanted a rematch, David would be ready.

Hans Olsen (w/Jacob Striker) vs. El Landerson



{As El Landerson is making his way down to the ring suddenly the song skips into a strange rhythmic siren noise as his entrance video on the Nova-tron suddenly shifts into a strange flickering skull symbol}



CS: OH WHAT THE FUCK?!

JE: Hey Benjamin amigo...isn't that the logo of the...

BG: Yes Justin, you are right as that is the logo of the GHOST ORGANIZATION from Wrestleworld and I don't think that El Landerson has noticed it yet either!!

{The "8-Bit Luchadore" jumps up onto the ring apron facing the entrance way at which point he then notices his wife and daughter both gesturing wildly to look behind him when suddenly he is yanked from the ring apron by none other than an enraged figure that has exploded from the ringside area!!}

CS: HOLY SHIT, THAT'S DEVON FUCKING SLAYTON!!! WHAT'S HE DOING HERE?!

BG: Picking a fight with El Landerson it seems!

{Slayton reaches down and hauls up the much shorter man before slamming El Landerson back first into the ring itself, causing the masked man to yell out in pain, before Devon rears back and starts to unload several very brutal chops onto Landerson before taking a step back to admire his handiwork as Landerson slumps to the ground, clutching his chest in pain}

JE: He's not here at random as Wrestleworld has a pay per view this weekend live from Miami, I think it's called Destino?

CS: You're right Justino, and both of these men are involved in a match at that show and plus, I've seen some of the things that our boy Devon there has said about El Landerson and none of it has been TV friendly to say the least!!

{Devon goes to haul up Landerson again but he catches sight of Landerson's daughter which causes the older man to stop as Aalyah starts to yell at the "Bastard Son of the Reaver" who simply shakes his head but the distraction works as Landerson is quickly able to get a couple of shots off to Devon's face at which point the two Mechanical Animals quickly hit the ring and move to intercept Landerson and Slayton which is then quickly followed by both the rest of the MA on hand as well as the Rogue Horsemen and several other wrestlers as Devon simply continues to bad mouth Landerson as the masked Luchadore tries to get to the bearded madman}

Bianca Davis, Miho Li, & Ebony Arceri-Dickenson vs. Megane Diavola & The Dollhouse (with DiVA)

Now this was a very surprising match at it put in the PWN Junior Heavyweight Champion Bianca Davis on the same team as both the newly crowned PWN Joshi Champion in Miho Li with the very woman that she beat for the title in Ebony Arceri-Dickenson against Miho's top contender for her title in Megane Diavola and the PWN World Tag Team champions in the Dollhouse in a very sick, twisted, and wicked six woman tag match!!

The action was all over the place with Bianca blowing off some of the rage that had been building in her due to the various bits of insanity over in One Wrestle Movement while Miho and Ebony surprisingly enough functioned greatly as a duet, but the Dollhouse showed why you never overlook them as the deadly duo quickly cut the match out from their opponents time and time again until finally Bianca was finally able to get Jonetta Stone alone in the ring for a few seconds before the more dominant blonde showed why she was the ultimate hunter!

The ending of the match eventually came when Miho's "Miho-sault" was transitioned into a "Bitch Lasagna" attempt by Roxy, only for Miho to roll with the move surprisingly to lock in the "Skull Crusher" for the surprising victory!!

Ian Dickenson vs. Chris Sabertooth

In our main event for the evening put the newly crowned PWN International Heavyweight champion against one half of the Omega Wrestling Alliance World Tag Team champions and the Wrestleworld Shogun champion in Christopher Sabertooth himself in what turned out to be a real barn burner of a match with both men taking the other one to the sheer limit.

During the match the members of the Rogue Horsemen came out to watch the match and during a moment when it looked like they were going to go down and help Ian Dickenson, they were suddenly stopped by the arrival of Jacob Striker and his Mechanical Animals-causing a staredown at the entrance ramp as the two men fought with true savagery in the ring.

One particularly savage spot was when Sabertooth thought that he had an opening to finish of Ian and he went for the Broken Tooth only for Ian to catch him in mid-motion, pop Sabertooth up into the air for a pop-up powerbomb before catching him on the way back down with the "Hellion" powerbomb for a pin attempt with Sabertooth kicking out at almost 3!!

Eventually after such a savage and brutal bout, the bell finally rung as the two men had literally brutalized each other to a time limit draw!!
